Sliced bread with ham and mozzarella

For a 20 x 20 cm mold:
8 slices of bread
4 slices ham
250 g buffalo mozzarella
3 or 4 tbsp mustard
A dozen cherry tomatoes
3 or 4 better (new fine onions)
30 g Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
20 cl milk
butter for the mold
or 2 10 x 20 cm molds as pictured
I used molded country bread.
Preheat the oven to 180oC.
Butter the molds.
Spread all slices of bread with mustard. More
or less according to your tastes. You can replace mustard with pesto if you
prefer.
Arrange 4 slices of bread on the worktop.
Place 1/2 slice of ham folded in 2 slices.
Add a thick slice of mozzarella and place the
remaining 4 slices of bread on top, as for sandwiches.
Cut them in half. In the recipe, they were cut
into triangles but I did not find it very practical ...
Arrange these 1/2
sandwiches in the dish, against each other, tightly, interspersed with the
remaining ham and mozzarella.
Add the sliced better and the halved cherry
tomatoes.
Beat eggs with milk. Add Parmesan cheese. Season.
Pour on the dish and soak for about 15
minutes.
Bake for about 30 minutes. More or less
depending on the size of the dish.
