Carrot bread


Preparation     : 20 minutes
Cooking           : 1 hour


·         Ingredients:

300 g flour (white or wholemeal)
15 g fresh brewer's yeast
200 g grated carrots
1 teaspoon honey
1 pinch of salt and pepper
10 g butter (if using a mold)


·         Preparation:

1.    Preparing carrot bread is very simple.
2.    First, arrange the flour on the worktop or in a bowl and pour the carrots, honey, a pinch of salt and pepper in the center, and, finally, the yeast dissolved in 1 dl of water (I recommend, not hot).
3.    Mix first with a fork and then knead for 5 minutes forming a smooth and homogeneous loaf. Cover with a towel and let it rest for 2 hours in a warm place and away from drafts.
4.    After the time set, still, knead the dough and form sandwiches to place directly on the baking sheet lined with baking paper. Alternatively, butter a round mold and pour in the mixture.
5.    Cover and let stand for another 40 minutes.
6.    Bake the carrot bread in the already hot oven at 220 degrees for about 1 hour (less if you have made small loaves).
7.    Bake on a cake rack and have your carrot bread fried before serving it on the table.
